Company Mission: The Fujitsu Planetarium at De Anza College serves as the classroom for all the astronomy classes at De Anza College. The astronomy program at De Anza is the largest at any community college in the state. The Planetarium also serves the community as a destination for area school field trips, public shows, and special events. 30,000 community members visit the planetarium each year. The planetarium is a fantastic teaching tool for astronomy and inspires visitors to become acquainted with the night sky and learn more about our amazing universe. It is a powerful weapon against scientific illiteracy.

Job Details

Technical Director: Present planetarium programs to school groups and the general public; Install and maintain equipment; train other show presenters; oversee all usage of the planetarium by show presenter staff and college instructors.

Description: Students will observe the setup for a planetarium show and then watch the show that will be presented to a local school group as a field trip. After the show, the students will receive a tour of the planetarium facilities, and have an opportunity to discuss astronomy and planetarium operations as a career, and answer questions.
